Ketta-what?
A 'kettlebell'i is a Russian cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a suitcase style handle. For many years sizes varied from roughly 8kg - 40kg, though in recent years with the increased interest from North America this range has broadened. These 'weights' have a rich history which dates back as far as 1704, as they have for years offered a huge range of training options without the need for excessive equipment. Today we see them being used by strength and intensity athletes around the globe, and they continue to make regular appearances in films and movies.
Kettlebell exercises themselves are split into two categories; pulls and grinds, offering a split between cardio work and weightlifting. However beyond this unique blend of strength and cardio, Kettlebells offer people a chance to engage in a unique full body workout. On the whole they offer people a chance to increase their capacity to do more work with increased efficiency, strength and flexiblity.
Kettlebells are small, effective, and easy to learn, anytime, anywhere.
