Gymnastic Rings

Most people recognize rings. They show up every couple years during the olympics and then vanish from the collective consciousness. This has started to change in the past five years as rings have slowly started to break into more main-stream training, with tools like the TRX offering up some kind of ring hybrid to the masses. Groups such as Crossfit have pushed to see rings included in their facilities, and it is no longer uncommon for people to have done some small amount of work with rings. However the dynamic training capacity of rings seems to have been largely missed. While it is true that many people simply lack the strength and coordination to complete more advanced movements on rings, there is far more that can be done than simply push-ups, pull-ups, and dips.

Irrational offers ring training as it offers kettle-bell training, as either a supplement or a mainstay of training regimes. Rings offer a dynamic and interesting tool that is quite engaging. While a touch of masochism helps, ring training can actually be fun; a word that is heard far too infrequently in many of todays training worlds. For those interested, we are providing a number of tutorials and articles that will hopefully give people a chance to go somewhat deeper into the world of ring training. However, despite the fact that it will come off as a horrible attempt at stealing your funds, I will again point out that everyone should have a coach, and this is especially true when it comes to ring training. If you don't have an Irrational trainer close to you, let us know and we will see if we know anyone in the area that can provide you with assistance.

Just how weak are you?
Enjoying the madness
Rings have been around for ages, and continue to provide a rather sadistic training tool for those athletes who are ready to push themselves farther.
